Warranty terms AURUS silverline
for Germany and Austria
Metz Consumer Electronics GmbH, Ohmstraße 55, 90513 Zirndorf, Germany, grants the following manufacturer's warranty against material and manufacturing defects for the special model Metz AURUS silverline:
1. The following provisions apply only to private use.
2. The warranty period is
• 5 years for material and manufacturing defects in the television set; this does not include material and manufacturing defects in the panel, including the backlighting
• 24 months for material and manufacturing defects in the panel, including the backlighting
The warranty period begins with the conclusion of the purchase contract or on the day of delivery of the device to the buyer (end consumer).
3. Warranty claims can only be made by presenting the machine-generated proof of purchase, the product data, and the warranty certificate.
4. The Metz dealer from whom the television set was purchased is solely responsible for handling warranty claims. Upon presentation of the documents listed under No. 3, the dealer will repair or replace free of charge any parts that have become defective as a result of a proven material or manufacturing defect within the warranty period.
Any further liability, in particular for damage not caused to the device itself, is excluded. This does not apply in cases of mandatory liability due to intent or gross negligence. Warranty services do not extend the warranty period, nor do they establish a new warranty period for the repaired or replaced parts.
5. Improper handling and tampering by the buyer or third parties shall void the warranty obligations and all other claims. The warranty also does not cover damage or defects caused by failure to follow the instructions for use, mechanical damage, damage caused by tobacco smoke or other external influences, leaking batteries, or force majeure, water, lightning, etc. Furthermore, natural wear and tear, consumption, excessive use, damage caused by operation outside the published limit data, and other defects that are not attributable to material or manufacturing defects are excluded from the warranty.
6. The warranty claim under these warranty terms and conditions is only valid in Germany and Austria.
7. These warranty terms and conditions do not limit the buyer's statutory warranty claims against the seller.
